Original Tandoori Kitchen

The food here tastes homemade and full of flavor. The curries are rich without being too heavy, and the naan comes out fresh and warm. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome right away. This is a solid choice if you want comforting Indian food.

I had a wonderful experience at original tandoori kitchen Restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable — perfect for both a casual meal and a special night out. A special shout-out to Jashan, who served us with such kindness and professionalism. She made sure everything was perfect and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her friendly attitude really added to the great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back soon — highly recommend this place!

Delicious food and authentic Indian flavors! Have been coming here with the family for many years. Always a favourite! The butter chicken and naan are amazing. Kababs are a family favourite. Friendly staff and great service. Highly recommend!

Just moved in the area. And came by and got the lamb curry. Rice and naan and omg the lamb curry was really good. They give you a good sized portion of rice and the naan is huge. I really enjoyed the garlic naan. Customer service a great. Really friendly

I wanna thank all the staff, the servers and the cooks and the chefs for an outstanding birthday party on January 24 for my mom‘s 80th. It was amazing everything went smooth. The food was tasty no complaints thank you so much for a beautiful day for our family and friends.

Glory and Tandoori at the Original Tandoori Kitchen Cold, Dark , Wet and Windy... This is the scene on February 21st as the OCC members congregate on the corner of 56th avenue in the cultural heart of Vancouvers east Indian community. Excitement builds as every second passes. We are greeted and shown to our table in a semi private room, the type of privacy usually reserved for hosting foreign dignitaries. As we await our last arriving members we get to know our first ever OCC guest (a working TV actor) over a few cold Kingfisher beers . Once fully assembled our team became an unstoppable engine of laughter and cheer. After placing our order and enjoying another round of cold kingfishers it became suddenly apparent at the lack of music which did affect the atmosphere score of 6.42, however they gladly did turn on the music when asked. The food flooded the table like the Mighty Ganges river during monsoon season, and it became immediately apparent that we were in for a treat. The food was prepared fabulously, a wonderful balance of heat and flavor earning a strong 7.82 for quality, with the Bombay fish being voted as the groups favorite dish. Throughout the feast our wonderful servers kept the kingfishers coming and tended to our every need granting them a score of 7.12 for service. As we struggled to finish every last morcel NEO ordered one last basket of butter Naan which felt like the perfect exclamation point to a sumptuous repast with NEO even saying that the Naan was some of the best he's had recently. As we settled our bill we were shocked at the incredible value of the banquet and beers we had just shared earning a score of 8.14 for value. In retrospect the poppadoms we had order did not ever arrive lowering the score for customer care to 6.34 . In conclusion we walked out into that cold dark and wet weather with our spirits warmed and heartened with another pleasant Indian dinning experience granting a overall score of 7.168 meeting the mark of official OCC approval ... Congratulations and Thank you to the Original Tandoori Kitchen!

This is one of the best Indian restaurant in Vancouver. Naan is amazing and not greasy compared to others. I took the Mumbai fish and it was amazing. Lamb beryanni and mixed potato cauliflower vegetables are are very good. It is little pricey but it is ok for the taste.

Service was a little slow, and the lamb curry and biryani portions were smaller than expected. But the tandoori? Wow, it was amazing! I’d come back just for that. With faster service and bigger portions, this place could easily be five stars.
